Terms and Conditions for Car Rental Romania
Car Rental Terms and Conditions
In order to rent a car from Promotor
Services clients must comply with a set of rules and
conditions:
- Minimum age for renting a car is 21.
- The driver must be in possession of a driver's
license for at least 1 year.
- Minimum rental period is 24 hours
Other obligations:
- The car is to be used exclusively for the
purpose of traveling on the Romanian territory, without using it in any
kind of races, demonstrations etc.
- The interior and exterior of the car is to be
kept in top cleaning condition.
- The renter is to strictly comply with the
Romanian legislation regarding driving legislation, as well as the
instructions from the car user manual.
- The Vehicle Registration Certificate/temporary
circulation authorization, car keys and remote controls must be kept
with the utmost of care, otherwise the driver shall bear the legal
consequences that come with losing them.
- In case of loss or theft of the Vehicle
Registration Certificate/temporary circulation authorization, car keys
and/or remote controls, clients are to immediately inform us
(within 2 hours), in verbal and written form (fax)
- In case the car was stolen or parts/components
of the car were stolen, as in case of damaging or destroying the car,
clients are to immediately inform Promotor Services in writing and
verbal
- The car is not to be altered in any way by
adding/modifying elements to the mechanical parts or the aesthetics.
- Driving the car under the influence of alcohol,
drugs or medical substances that affect driving abilities is strictly
forbidden.
- Renters are not allowed to drive the car if
their driver's license was suspended, canceled or retained for
cancellation or suspension.
- Clients are obliged to immediately inform
Promotor Services, in writing and verbal form, of any of the car's
technical problem and to follow the exact indications of the lessor's
representative.
- Entering the car in flooded areas is forbidden.
- Driving the car outside open public roads is
not allowed.
- Client must take the necessary safety measures
(remove the key from the ignition, close the windows, doors, luggage
compartment, activate the alarm system etc.) while the car is
stationary or in a parking area.
- The car must not be left in unpopulated areas
or in traffic jams, except when this was explicitly required by the
authorities or when people’s lives or integrity are in danger.
- The access of foreign people in the car, except
for family members or friends, is forbidden. The transport of people or
goods for your own profit is also forbidden.
- It is forbidden to tow other vehicles or cars.
- The car is to be immediately returned after the
expiration of the rental period. In case of exceeding the contractual
terms with more than 2 hours, the lessor is entitled to consider the
car stolen and report the theft to the Police.
